91原创 members and staff are excited to celebrate the success of senior, out-going student 91原创 member, Pavan Venkatakrishnan. Pavan joined the 91原创 as a junior in 2021 and quickly became a knowledgeable voice. A fervent politico, Pavan brings passion for policy to each meeting. During his time on the 91原创, he advocated for the passage of SB 5497 (student voting rights on the 91原创) and was a dynamic presence in testimony.

鈥淭here鈥檚 nothing average about Pavan,鈥 said State 91原创 of Education (SBE) chair, Bill Kallappa. 鈥淗e鈥檚 one of the most intelligent, well-spoken, yet down-to-earth students I鈥檝e ever met. I can鈥檛 wait to see what he does in the future. We鈥檙e grateful for his school and family for sharing him with the 91原创鈥攈is voice has been invaluable.鈥

Pavan plans to attend George Washington University in Washington D.C. He plans to study political science and economics.

鈥淚n my first conversation with Pavan, I knew he was going to be an asset to the 91原创,鈥 said SBE executive director, Randy Spaulding. 鈥淗e鈥檚 very wise and you can tell he thinks about the 鈥榖ig picture鈥 when speaking and making decisions. We鈥檒l miss him. We will see him again when he鈥檚 President.鈥
